Hi, I’m Kayla and I run this website! I’m a college student majoring in the Music Industry. I love music, some of my other favorite bands/artists are The Veronicas, Paramore,  and Owl City. I first discovered Lights on MySpace in the early summer months of 2008 (May/June). Several months later, two days after my 18th birthday, I saw her for the first time opening up for Copeland, Lydia, and Lovedrug. If you ever saw the video blog where she talks about the start of the Copeland tour and how things started off rough as she apologizes to Philadelphia, that was my first ever Lights show! Her performance, however, was one of the best! No Russel the keytar, no synths, just her, the piano, and some help from Adam and Maurie on drums and keys. Twenty minutes prior, I thought I would never get to see her perform live but she still performed and it was absolutely beautiful. It was that very show that made me the fan I am today, and also when I realized I had to help get the word out about LIGHTS. At first I was actually talking with Lights about creating a myspace street team but shortly after I decided to make a fansite. It took me a while to figure everything out because I had little knowledge with creating websites, but I was determined to make it work…

A couple months and hours of google searches later, LIGHTS-Love was launched and on the web! (Jan ’09) Since then, I am honored and so grateful that Lights has recognized Lights-Love on so many levels, and that her family visits the site regularly. I am so thankful that this little site has done so well within the past year and I thank all of the Lights fans for visiting daily! I hope to meet you all at a LIGHTS show in the future, I’ve already met some amazing people at prior shows, and I have LIGHTS to thank for our friendships!
